I didn’t mean to alarm you…

But all those plastic surgery videos you’re watching on Instagram, Tiktok, and other social media platforms…

May NOT be the best influence on your decision to get overweight plastic surgery.

Don’t get me wrong, though.

Social media has been one of the most significant factors in the popularity rise of plastic surgery, especially among younger women.

When I ask my patients why they want to get surgery, some of them want to look better in the photos they post on their social media accounts.

There is definitely NOTHING wrong with that.

We all have our reasons for getting surgery.

But sometimes, the plastic surgery videos we see on social media do not represent the reality of plastic surgery.

It’s not some instant cure to any insecurity.

Most of the time, they don’t even give accurate information.

In fact, a study showed that most plastic surgery videos on YouTube have low-quality content.

Only 60% of them have been created by physicians.

20% were done by patients, and the other 20% were done by marketers.

And your surgery won’t be performed by a marketer or fellow patient, right?

That’s why you need to be extra cautious when watching these plastic surgery videos.

At the end of the day, nothing beats RESEARCH when choosing a plastic surgeon.
