As a plus-size patient, should you even consider having multiple surgeries at the same time?

While being plus size doesn’t’ inherently make surgeries dangerous, some factors associated with large body types might increase surgical risks.

You might stay longer in the operating table, leading to extended surgery times and longer anesthesia exposure.

You might develop wound healing issues, such as infections or delays.

You might even be more prone to postoperative issues, like fluid accumulation, seromas, or hematomas.

And if you have underlying health conditions — like diabetes or hypertension — it can complicate the whole surgical and recovery process.

But does that mean you can’t get two surgeries at the same time?

Of course not.

You can safely combine certain high BMI plastic surgeries as long as you fulfill the requirements you’ll find in this newsletter.
