Do You Know Your Butt Shape? Get to Know the 4 Basic Butt Types

While no two butts are the same, we can easily categorize butt shapes under four basic types: inverted, square, heart, or round.

So, which one are you? And how can you enhance it? Let’s break it down.

Butt Shape #1: Inverted or V-Shaped

buttock shape inverted vThis shape is the most common butt shape. It results from genetics or tight clothing squeezing your hips and flattening your behind.

There are several ways to determine if you have a V-shaped butt.

  • Take a look at yourself in the mirror. If your hips are narrower than your glutes, chances are you have a V-shaped butt.
  • Look at pictures of yourself from different angles. If you notice that your buttocks appear pointy or flat in photos, you have a V-shaped butt.
  • Ask someone else to look at your behind to see if they notice any hip dips or an overall “V” shape.

If you want to improve your V-shaped butt, Dr. Nick Masri recommends getting a BBL. It can:

  • Add volume to your butt. One complaint that many people have about their V-shaped butts is that they are too small and lack volume. BBL can help to add volume to your butt so that it is fuller and more proportionate with the rest of your body.
  • Lift your butt. Another complaint among those with V-shaped butts is that their behinds appear droopy. BBL can help lift your butt so it seems perkier and more youthful.

Butt Shape #2: Square or H-Shaped

butt shape h squareA square or H-shaped butt has an even width from top to bottom with a little curve at the top. This shape results from weight gain or wear and tear on the buttocks over time.

If you want to add fullness and curves to a square or H-shaped butt, BBL can help. Here’s how:

  • Adds more volume. One concern about their square-shaped butts is that they lack volume. And it can be due to genetics, weight loss, aging, or never having had much fat in that area, to begin with. But BBL can give you fuller buttocks by transferring fat from other areas of your body.
  • Adds more projection. Aside from adding volume, a BBL can give your butt more projection or “pop.” And it’s because the injected fat into specific areas creates roundness and lift.
  • Improves shape. BBL can also correct your butt’s asymmetry and create a more uniform look. And it’s helpful for patients with an H-shaped butt due to disproportionate amounts of fat on either side.

Butt Shape #3: Heart or A-Shaped

buttock shape a heartA heart or A-shaped butt is similar to a V-shaped butt—narrower at the top with fuller cheeks. But this shape has a bit more curve at the top.

Commonly, this shape results from weight loss, aging, or pregnancy. Yet, you can improve your heart-shaped butt with BBL, as it:

  • Gives more shape. If you have a heart-shaped butt, then you know that one of the biggest problems is that it can often look flat. But a BBL help gives you more shape and definition.
  • Adds volume. Heart-shaped butts lack volume. Yet, a BBL can help to add volume to your butt, giving you the fuller figure you desire.

Butt Shape #4: Round or O-Shaped

But BBL can help to create even more definition and curves for an ultra-sexy look. Here’s how:

  • Increase fullness in the upper cheeks. Round-shaped butts lack fullness in the upper part of their buttocks. And it can often give the appearance of a “saggy” or droopy rear end. But with BBL, your surgeon can help to create a fuller, more lifted look.
  • Add volume to the outer thighs. Women with round-shaped butts have their thighs appear too small compared to their rear ends. Yet, by BBL, your surgeon can help balance out your proportions.
